The family farm of my mother, located south of Hamburg, can proudly look back on an impressive history, which can be traced back to the year 1648. The tradition of naming the firstborn sons Heinrich was continued until my parent's generation. The persistent work and diligence over generations led to our agricultural products not only reaching the markets of Hamburg but also extending to Berlin and the world. Love eventually led my mother to the Altes Land, where I grew up among apple and cherry trees, spending my summer vacations not on the beach but in the orchard.

At the age of 13, my own journey into the world of fruit trade began when I sold peaches for a neighboring fruit merchant for the first time at the Grundweg weekly market in Hamburg. At 18, I proudly drove my first VW Bully, and together with classmates, students, and later my wife Rosi, we successfully operated seasonal fruit stands in the affluent suburbs of Hamburg during school and university years.

After training in international grain and animal feed trade at Alfred C. Toepfer International (now ADM), studying economics at University in Hamburg and London, and a brief stint at EDEKA Fruchtkontor, I landed at an international internet startup (AutoScout24). Returning to the food industry thereafter, I founded a company for fresh french fries and established a sandwich production in Munich, although these concepts were ahead of their time.

In 2006, we returned to our hometown Hamburg and, inspired by platforms like YouTube, founded a content production agency. At qub media (www.qub-media.com), we produce top-quality video content for leading German and international publishers in the areas of books, education, and cookbooks. Rosi is now captain at qub media, and I am at the helm of Green Gurrillas. Our experience extends to collaborating with renowned German and international chefs such as Jamie Oliver and Yotam Ottolenghi. Our success in distributing product samples at weekly markets led to a partnership with Looye and the unique Honey Tomato from 2019 onwards and for the past 5 years.

Motivated by these successes, we decided in 2023 to establish a new agency for the fresh food sector. But why Green Guerrillas? Green symbolizes nature, life, contentment, happiness, and hope. The gorilla, the largest ape with superhuman strength, embodies peace, vegetarianism, and endurance. Guerrilla marketing, inserting humorous advertising ideas in unexpected places, complements our identity.

Currently, we manage some innovative and uniquely high-quality products such as Bimi broccoli, Fioretto cauliflower, and the Yoom tomato. Our focus lies solely on innovative and high-quality suppliers and products with significant growth potential. From production to cultivation, packaging, logistics, branding, and communication, we operate at the highest level. Our passion lies in seeking and implementing creative approaches and solutions. The ultimate goal is the widespread placement of our products in upscale grocery retail. However, the journey begins at the grassroots level – at the best markets, in premium specialty stores, and in the most creative kitchens, where dedicated owners appreciate and recommend the latest offerings.

Our network includes the best producers, selected wholesalers, trendy food bloggers, renowned chefs, and leading trade fairs. Additionally, in cooperation with qub media, we produce the most creative text, image, and video content imaginable.
